I am reading your posts.
I think your point about people treating us according to signals we give out is very true. I've noticed that if I'm feeling low people seem to avoid talking to me, but if I'm cheerful and smiling people to tend to chat to me and interact more (in the street, shops etc..).
I wanted to know more about what happened with Unilever. Did they make you redundant? Are you not working for them at all anymore?

Occupying your mind would certainly help you, have you considered writing a book about your experiences?
